One of my friends is having a baby. :) She's not due for several months, but it's never too soon! I've been drooling over all the star quilts I've seen everywhere online, and so I leapt at the opportunity to try out
Cluck Cluck Sew's Star Block Tutorial. Thank you, by the way, I LOVE IT!
I made the wise purchase of a
Nest Fat Quarter Bundle from the Fat Quarter Shop, and I used 15 or 16 of the 24 fabrics. For the center images I fussy-cut Ikea farm friends fabric! :)
The backing is mostly a Robert Kaufman fabric, and I also made one more Star Block with my favorite character (the lady-bug) in the middle and rainbow points!
The Binding is a polka-dot fabric from Jenny's flat fold section. :P It just happened to work perfectly with this quilt.
Here are some close-ups of my favorite blocks!

This is my favorite block. |

this is the square on the back of the quilt! |
The finished quilt is 40x40 inches, which I think should give her some room to grow into it! :D
I love it so much, and I can hardly wait the few months it will take this baby to join the ranks of living people.
